Bread buns get called all kinds of different nicknames in the UK. People from different localities each feel they are the expert on the correct terminology. Does it really matter what we name something, if the thing in front of us is the same? Surely we could call such a humble staple anything at all, and it would not change what we do with it? Terminology does not matter as much as intention today. Don’t get stuck on semantics.
