Donkeys and toddlers have a similar stubbornness that we can all relate to. When a Donkey wants to sit down, no amount of carrot or stick can get it to move again until it feels ready to journey on. Toddlers, and some adults who also struggle to regulate their emotional state, can behave much the same way. If something goes wrong, their refusal to see it being put right can prevent them from accepting reasonable solutions that would probably solve their issue.
